Mennonite Central Committee is a relief service, and peace agency representing fifteen Mennonite, Brethren in Christ and Amish bodies in North America. The U.S. headquarters are in Akron, Pennsylvania, the Canadian in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In addition, both countries have more localized MCC operations (multi-state regions in the US and provinces in Canada).
Mennonite Central Committee Winnipeg and Mennonite Central Committee Manitoba both frequently work with freelance graphic designers and writers. Starting 2018, I have worked for both organizations as a contracted freelance designer.
In my time, I have designed promotional event graphics, newspaper advertisements, general donor relations materials, and larger format pieces for the MCC Centennial in 2019/2020. These involve both adaptations of existing graphics and the creation of entirely new pieces from MCC brand guidelines.
Centennial Materials
For MCC's Centennial in 2019/2020, I was contracted to produce several different graphics.
This included a unique folding brochure that was sent to new donors who had just joined MCC as a donor at the time of the Centennial.
Annual Reports
I have helped MCC build out its pages in MCC's national annual report, which contains sections for each province.
Assorted Work
Since starting with MCC, I have done work on individual small single page graphics of many kinds.
Mennonite Central Committee was one of the publishers of Germinating Conversations, a book I also designed.
